Seawide Services, established in 1972, is a family-owned general marine contractor with extensive experience in commercial diving. Founded by Douglas Rowe to meet the Southwest’s demand for practical mooring and salvage solutions, the company has grown over the years under the leadership of director Brendan Rowe and his skilled management team.

Our team consists of highly trained professionals with diverse expertise, including master mariners, a commercial dive team with thousands of cumulative dives, engineers, experienced salvors, and commercial managers. Strategic Location & Fleet

Based in Falmouth, our depot and fleet enable us to deploy quickly into the English Channel or transport assets by road across the UK. Our workshops and engineers ensure continuous support for both client requirements and our fleet needs, no matter where our teams are operating.

Adapting to Client Needs

Throughout four decades of operation, Seawide Services has continuously adapted to meet the evolving needs of our clients. This includes acquiring certifications and expertise in explosive demolition and special effects work for the film industry.

Expansion & New Capabilities

In 2007, we expanded by acquiring two high-speed Nelson launches and opening our crew transfer division. These vessels serve not only as transfer craft but are also coded to operate as offshore work platforms, including rapid-response dive platforms. This expansion allows us to meet client needs that other contractors often outsource.

Seasonal Mooring Contracts

Seawide Services has consistently been involved in seasonal mooring contracts, serving areas like Helford, Falmouth, and even as far east as Mevagissey. Our expertise includes general moorings, eco-sensitive installations, prototype systems, and deep-water heavy shipping systems.

Turnkey Project Management

We partner with heavy-lift contractors to offer turnkey project management for both inshore and offshore projects. These collaborations have led to the successful completion of several subsea projects, including the installation and commissioning of the Seatricity deep-water wave energy renewable project—the first energy device successfully installed at Wave Hub, Cornwall.
